Jensen Builders Ltd is offering several opportunities to work with our design build general contractor in the central Iowa area. We are looking for a construction project manager with some or a great deal of experience. For students graduating we are willing to train you to become a successful project manager in our firm. At this time we have positions open in our Des Moines area office and our Fort Dodge home office.

Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include managing multiple small, medium to large sized commercial and industrial projects in these areas:

Startup and closing out projects efficiently and promptly.

Correspondence with owners, design professionals, company staff.

Preparing estimates, budgets and change management.
-
Managing submittals.
-
Attending project related meetings.
-
Project paperwork such as subcontracts, purchase orders, billings, RFI's, schedules.

Managing field operations with superintendent, subcontractors and suppliers, equipment and materials.

Managing pre-construction process for negotiated and design-build projects.

Responsible for understanding project budget, job cost and working with accounting staff.
Qualifications:
Your qualifications should include but are not limited to:

1+ years of managing construction projects

1+ years of project estimating

Familiar with construction software such as Sage 300 Project Management and

Sage Estimating, Microsoft Office scheduling software and other basic office software programs
